On this Memorial Day, I ran a 5K with the goal of finishing in under 28:00, which would be a personal record.

I aced it and finished in 26:54 by my watch.

Mile 1: 8:32
Mile 2: 17:13
Mile 3: 26:02

pace: 8:40
